I haven’t read the others in the series so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I really enjoyed this story. It starts with Kate in the hands of a kidnapper. He is indifferent to her and it is her own smarts that save herself. As her capture, Tiago, is set to kill her she makes him a deal to save her life. Tiago soon realizes that she is the woman he’s been waiting for to redemn his sins. He loves her but it is something that she can accept in return. It’s a dark romance but it has a happy ending.
